Condom Boy Initiative
2023 -
In collaboration with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, SIYA proudly presents the Condom Boy Initiative, a revolutionary product designed to revolutionize access to condoms. Inspired by the convenience of on-demand services like food delivery, Condom Boy aims to make obtaining condoms as easy as ordering a pizza. #CondomBoy #InnovationInHealth #Empowerment #SexualHealthRevolution
Incubation Labs for Positive Youth Engagement
2023 - 2025
Sponsored by the Citizen Engagement for Accountability Activity (CEAA), an organization funded by the United States Agency for international Development (USAID).
The project's aim is to develop youth with competitive skills and knowledge in civic leadership, advocacy, and entrepreneurship through training, mentorship, and technical support from local and international civic and business leaders.
Arts and Crafting Youth Friendly Center
2021 -
The Integrated Youth Innovation Hub is a model which has been tried and yielded results and transformed the lives of young people in Shamva District since 2021. A collaborative space and platform designed by SIYA to foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation among young people below 35 years, it serves as a center where young individuals can access resources, tools, mentorship, and networking opportunities to develop and implement their innovative ideas. It currently constitutes a ICT Hub, Sewing Hub, Confectionery Hub, Village Studio, Conference Gazebo and a Co-Working Space.

Rural Youth Engage for Integrity
2024
Supported by the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development under the Strengthening Institutions and Youth Agency in Accountability Narratives in Zimbabwe, the Rural Youth Engage for Integrity is a youth-led community initiative which focuses on building the capacity among youth aged 18-35 years, and create opportunities for them to meaningfully engage and embrace the culture of integrity in Shamva District.
Spotlight Rural Creatives for Sustainable Development Goals (SRC4SDG)
2023 and 2024
Supported by Culture Fund Trust of Zimbabwe funded by European Union, SRC4SDGs was an inclusive project that enhanced a safe incubation space for rural talent identification, nurturing and mentoring of young artists in Shamva.
The goal of the project was to spotlight the underrepresented rural artists through hands on training, mentorship, formalization and operating spaces and equipment to enhance their productions for national and international markets.
The project enabled 200 artists to acquire highly competitive skills in storytelling, film making, music and crafting through mentoring and support from local and international arts practitioners.
Community-led HIV Prevention and Support for Youth
2023
Sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the program aimed at empowering 4 000 young people aged 10-24 years to protect themselves against HIV and AIDS through different activities and arrangements.
Through the project, young people were empowered with the knowledge and skills to make informed sexual health related decisions so that they can enjoy an improved quality of life by preventing the spread of STIs, including HIV. The project aimed at a reduce in new HIV transmissions among vulnerable young people, and increased access to HIV treatment, care and support services.
Active and Healthy Generation
2022 and 2023
Sponsored by SOS Children’s Villages, the "Active and Healthy Generation" project focused on the three issues of child protection, promotion of sexual reproductive health for the youth and youth economic empowerment. The project addressed immediate challenges being faced by children and youth in Shamva District, aimed at creating demand, passion and will for communities to support their children and youth in addressing issues affecting their lives.
The project reached out to 2 200 youth in Shamva through Peer Educators Training, Community Mobile Video Screening, Mobile Incubation Hubs, Comprehensive Sexuality Education Sessions and a Sports Gala.
Digital Village and ICT Hub
2022
Sponsored by SOS Children's Villages, SIYA built and outfitted a small data center, called the ICT Hub, on the organizations' premises. In the digital village, SIYA hosts educational classes to provide the local youth the necessary skillset in order to effectively use computers and safely navigate the web. The digital village also provides an opportunity for local youth to borrow and use computer equipment.
Rural Young Women's Engagement and Action
2020 and 2021
Sponsored by the Embassy of Canada to Zimbabwe, SIYA conducted two projects aimed at accelerating young women’s actions in Shamva District towards championing gender equality, child marriages and sexual gender-based violence through advocacy, young women led community awareness, young women circles, Junior Council and economic empowerment initiatives.
The projects reached out to 1 800 adolescent girls and young women, and resulted in the establishment of 29 Young Women Ward Circles with 20 members each, the training of 58 Community Gender Champions, and the creation of "If She Can We Can" documentaries featuring 10 young women leaders.
